An inspiring letter from one of my clients. I'm blown away (and I nearly cried).

I just received this letter from one of my clients, Donna McConnell.

Donna is part way through her own transformation challenge - identical to the born2move "U v2.0" challenge we are opening up to all our clients on Monday 26th February 2018, and which starts on Monday 5th March 2018. So far, Donna has lost;
  • 8kg
  • 21cm girth
  • 28mm body fat
...and is the healthiest, lightest, leanest, happiest, most positivist [sic] she has been since her 30's. What is more important than the physical results is a total change of Donna's mindset...a change FOR LIFE - not just the next 12 weeks.

The majority of Donna's changes have occurred due to;
  • NOT aiming for perfect
  • consistently better nutrition and a shift in mind set (thanks to the Precision Nutrition ProCoach program we have been invited to use)
  • raising the priority of her own health and fitness (her last 12 months have been taken up looking after, and prioritising, the health and well being of her husband, Peter, and his recovery from a stroke last year)
  • and both of them being more active (regular walks, housework, gardening and a little bit of body weight resistance training too).
Here is Donna's letter.

"Dear Old Me

We have been through a lot together, some good, some bad, some downright delicious. I am so proud of how far that I have come in moving toward a new healthier version of myself.

I realise that many of the limitations I have put on myself have been an automatic defence mechanism. It was easier to love and nurture others instead of myself. Now I have learnt that it is OK to have a treat, I no longer feel like I need to reward myself. Being healthy and happy is my reward!

In order to make this permanent I need to say goodbye to the Old me. I have so much support right now and I am confident that I will succeed. If I slip occasionally that means that I am human. It doesn't mean that I am a failure!
Too many years have been wasted with this mindset.


Thanks for sharing my life so far. Now I must say goodbye and embrace the NEW ME."

Donna is an inspiration to me. She is MY ELITE ATHLETE. She is MY GOLD MEDALIST. She is MY WORLD RECORD HOLDER. She is MY HERO.

I hope she can be an inspiration to you too.
