Congratulations Nick on your 10k personal best in the born2move 10k time trial. Nick smashed his previous 10k best by over 30 seconds and dipped under the magic 35mins barrier for the first time with a time of 34:35. Not bad for a 43 year old either! Well done Nick. Keep up the great work.

Congratulations Nick on your 4th place (M40-44) in the New Zealand Cross Country Championships. Nick put in an awesome effort, considering his near death experience, and possible food poisoning days before the championships, to finish strongly, and help Auckland win the team championships. You are awesome.

Congratulations Peter on smashing your half marathon personal best in the Run Auckland Millwater/Orewa Half Marathon. Peter reduced his half marathon time from 1:44 to 1:37. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations Mark on improving your golf game without practicing golf. Mark has been coming to 2x 40min born2move bootcamp sessions and 2x 40min born2move run sessions per week and has improved his golf game without practicing his golf game. He has gotten fitter, lighter and leaner which, in turn, has helped his golf swing (less tummy in the way, stronger core, more general overall strength and endurance). Gary Player (famous golfer) is quoted as saying "The more I practice, the luckier I get". Generally, this is usually true and the best way to improve is to practice more, within reason (although law of diminishing returns and sometimes "less is more" should never be ruled out). Mark's results show there is a crossover between improved general/all round fitness and improved performance. Keep up the good work Mark.

Congratulations Grant on knocking a whopping 3 minutes and 57 seconds off your 10k time in the Albany Lakes Summer Series 10k race 3 (and in a negative split too). Grant did 1:01:08 in race 2 of the series and 57:11 in race 3. Keep up the great work Grant.

Congratulation Mirjam on your 2nd place in the Red Bull Defiance 2016 at Wanaka. For those that don't know, the event consisted of 71km or Mountain Biking, 34km of running, 37km of kayaking, 60m of abseiling and 5238 metres of vertical climb over two days. Keep up the awesome work Mirjam.

Congratulations Vanessa on your recent results (4.5kg weight loss - from 66.8kg down to 62.3kg and 16mm fat loss - from 77mm down to 61mm).
Vanessa has always eaten healthily (some of you might know her from NZ Masterchef) and kept active (walking to and from work) but a couple of slight modifications (cutting down on sugar and adding a couple of swimming workouts plus one or two born2move bootcamp sessions per week) has rewarded her with the amazing results above. Well done Vanessa. Keep up the great work.

Laura obliterated her previous 5km best time by slicing a huge 11 minutes and 58 seconds off her to set a new personal best of 33:44 in the Corporate Challenge Auckland 5km 2015 (previous best was 44:42 in the Corporate Challenge Auckland 5km 2014). Well done Laura.
